The Challenge: Qualify for the US Open as a recreational, former teaching professional golfer.
Through hard work and dedication our player will play, practice, and workout with the sole intention of qualifying to play in our nations Golf Championship.
Working out, practicing 8 hours per day six days per week can our "regular Joe" become good enough. the is only one way to find out.
How will this player train to such a premier event?
We have a rigorous schedule that over the first six months work to get the players into shape with the help of our training sponsor. Along with getting the players skill set to a competitive level.
In the second six months the physical and skill training will continue but the addition of competition golf will be included to the training to get the player comfortable in the competitive environment. We will start with local mini tours around Florida graduating to regional mini tour events. The cost of these events will be paid through our sponsors and through the support of our donors. The schedule of events and results will be posted here on our website.
Since the inception of this website and the beginning of this challenge there have been a few set backs. Donations and Sponsorship support has been slow. We would like to thank the Sponsor that have worked with us and we know we have all become champions for you. We will continue to send business and be ambassadors of your brands.
We have lost a player to injury, but will press on with one. That is coming off of a back injury that set him back three months.
